Introduction to Dinghy Sailing:
This 4 session course will introduce you to this wonderful pastime and provide you with the basic skills to get out on you own! Rigging, terminology, points of sail, knots, and sailing skills including rescuing capsized boats will all be covered in this course. You will sail in this course so please come prepared to get wet each night. Limited to 12 sailors.

Introduction to Flatwater Canoeing: Are you looking for a way to escape the stresses of everyday life? Find that escape in a canoe! In this course your ORCA certified instructor will engage you in the joys of canoeing. Whether you are an expert or a first timer, this course will provide you with the opportunity to learn or extend your canoeing skills. You can expect to learn strokes, rescues, canoe safety, what's new in equipment, how to lift, carry, and transport canoes. Your instructor will also introduce the class to the art of solo canoeing. Limited to 10 canoeists.

Introduction to Flatwater Kayaking: Thinking about taking up a sport that allows you access to areas most boats can't get to? You've found the right course. This program will teach you everything you need to know to get you active in kayaking. Areas of focus will be on the 'wet exit', paddling skills, rescues, equipment choices, and an exposure to a wide variety of kayaks.

Introduction to Mountain Biking: Have you always wanted to have the thrill of riding through the forest on narrow trails enjoying all that nature has to offer? This program is the perfect way to engage you in the sport of mountain biking. A certified instructor will guide you through the basics of fitting you bike to your body size, gearing, braking and extend your skills to include single track riding and obstacle clearance. This course will get you on the right track! Please bring your mountain bike or contact the program coordinator to arrange for a rental ($35/day). Limited to 10 riders.

Hiking for Families: This is a one-day guided hike through the beautiful network of trails on the King Campus. You and your children will enjoy some nature interpretation and develop you comfort level in the outdoors. Children must be old enough and capable of hiking for the duration of time. Pack a litterless lunch and comfortable footwear. This is a single way session.
